Nate first picked up a camera during his early childhood and always enjoyed experiencing life through the camera lens. However, it wasn’t until a high school class in black-and-white photography that he truly became “hooked” on documenting his experiences for others. Several study abroad opportunities helped expand his horizons and develop his skill behind the lens.
Nate has volunteered as a docent at the William McKinley Museum, where he has also contributed his graphic design skills to the illustration of the museum’s annual lapel pin. In addition, he has taught digital photography for gifted middle school students as well as for various summer arts programs.
As an artist interested in giving back to the community, Nate has donated his talents in support of many causes, including events for New Work City Foundation, Arts in Stark, Arts for Alzheimer’s, and Camp Quality, a support program for children with cancer.
Nate grew up in Alliance, Ohio, and is a graduate of Marlington High School. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Photo Illustration from Kent State University and is the winner of numerous local and regional photography awards. As a freelance photographer, Nate is also a member of several professional organizations. His work has previously been displayed at Jupiter Studio in Alliance. Nate has recently relocated to the Columbus, Ohio, area.
